This very well equipped holiday cottage has a multifuel stove, storage heaters, beamed ceilings and has been tastefully renovated. There are two bedrooms and the cottage can sleep 4/5 people comfortably. There is also a small decking area to the front with seating.
Only 100 yards from the beach and harbour side and two minutes walk from the historic High Street which has two pubs, several cafes and a critically acclaimed fish restaurant, together with a great art gallery, Captain Cook's Museum and a small range of shops to cater for your needs.
Staithes is a picturesque fishing village situated on the "Heritage Coast of North Yorkshire" which extends northwards from Scarborough to Saltburn by the Sea. The surroundings offer some of the most dramatic scenery along the Cleveland Way with Boulby Cliffs; the highest in England at some 690 feet.
All along the coast there are many other sheltered bays, beaches and equally attractive villages to explore. Go inland and explore The North Yorkshire Moors National Park that covers 550 square miles of unspoilt countryside.
There can be no doubt that Staithes is one of the UK’s most scenic locations. It is the Yorkshire Coast's most sought after spot for holiday makers. This charming village with its seemingly random collection of cottages, narrow streets and spectacular views of Boulby Cliffs, attracts artists, photographers and walkers as well as families and those just seeking a quiet and relaxing break.
Investigate tidal pools and sandstone rock formations that, if you look closely, yield fossils dating back millions of years.
Children can go "crabbing" by the Lifeboat House jetty – lines (watch the hooks!), nets and buckets can be purchased in the village at the Post Office or Kessen Bowl Gift shop – all you need do is find some bait!
Spend the day on the beach, swim safely, build sand castles, sunbath, sample some delicious ice cream, enjoy afternoon tea at one of the local cafés / bistros or try some tasty locally-caught fish & chips!
